Live Auditions.

We hold live, in-person auditions at points throughout the year. When a round opens, we publish the details here and across our social channels, including the locations and the roles we're casting for.

We don't audition for every role every time. Each round, we'll tell you exactly what we're looking for — so check what's open before you apply.

Live auditions are by application and confirmation only. You can't simply turn up; every place is offered in advance.

The process

How it works

  1. Register your interest

Complete the application form for the open round. Tell us who you are and what you do.

  2. We review and shortlist

Our team reviews every submission — CVs, showreels and recordings — and shortlists the people we want to see in the room.

  3. We offer you a slot

If you're shortlisted, we'll offer you an audition time.

  4. You receive your brief

Once you accept, we send an audition brief covering everything you need to prepare.

  5. You accept or decline

Confirm the offer and you're booked in.

From a distance

Auditioning from a distance

If you're a long way from the audition location — or based overseas — we'd never ask you to travel a great distance for a live, in-person slot. We regularly hear from artistes around the world.

Where that's the case, we'll offer an alternative — mention your location in your application and we'll guide you to the right option.

Online asynchronous audition

Record and submit your audition in your own time.

Live online audition

A real-time online session, where that's the better fit.

Cost

What it costs

No cost to audition.

Travel, accommodation and any other expenses are met by the auditionee.

What to expect

On the day

Each audition slot begins on the half-hour. Auditions usually run 15–20 minutes, with time afterwards for us to make notes.

  • Arrive 30 minutes early

Check in 30 minutes before your slot. Your confirmation email includes a check-in QR code — we'll scan it on arrival. That half-hour gives you time to settle and review any materials we hand you.

  • Bring photo ID

We'll verify it alongside your QR check-in.

  • Come performance-ready

Present yourself as you would on stage — we may capture promotional images during the round.

What happens next depends on what you do.

Reading musicians

Your audition is a sight-reading assessment. At check-in you'll be given charts to review during your 30-minute preparation window, then you'll perform them.

You'll perform with a live band unless we've told you otherwise.

  • Drummers and keyboard playersinstruments are provided.
  • Guitarists and bassistsplease bring your own instrument. Amplification is provided.
Afterwards

After your audition

We'll talk you through next steps at the end of your audition. In line with our recruitment policy, we don't proactively contact applicants whose auditions were unsuccessful — but if you'd like feedback or to know where you stand, get in touch and we'll happily help.
